Your cards. Your practice. Your story.

House of Obsidian Tarot — HoOT, also known as The Arcane Sanctuary — is a private digital sanctuary for tarot readers who want to keep a record of their readings, explore their own practice, and discover what emerges over time.

Whether you’re just beginning to record your readings or have years of tarot practice behind you, House of Obsidian gives your practice somewhere to grow.

You do the reading. You shuffle your own deck, lay your own cards, and make your own interpretations.

House of Obsidian remembers what you record.

Every card. Every position. Every question. Every reversal. Every reading.

Then, over time, it gives you ways to see your practice from angles that aren’t always visible when you’re looking at one reading at a time.

Patterns. Connections. Recurring cards. Reversals. Lunar and seasonal influences. Card relationships. Your journey through the Major Arcana.

Not predictions. Not someone else’s interpretation.

Your practice, reflected back to you.

A living record of your tarot practice

Your readings belong in the Grimoire.

Record them as you make them, revisit them later, search your history, add your reflections, and discover how individual readings become part of something much larger.

The Archive keeps everything organised and searchable.

The Diary brings your readings together chronologically, so you can watch your practice unfold over months and years.

And when you want to know whether a reading really landed, you can return to it afterwards and record what happened.

Because a tarot practice isn’t just about the cards you draw today.

It’s also about everything you’ve drawn before.

See what your cards keep telling you

The more you use House of Obsidian, the more there is to discover.

Crystal Ball reveals recurring cards and patterns across your readings.

Echoes lets you revisit readings and see how they actually played out.

Shadow brings your reversed cards into focus.

Tree of Life maps your readings across the Qabalistic Tree.

Constellations reveals the cards that repeatedly appear together.

And your wider reports explore your Major Arcana journey, deck coverage, recurring themes, lunar and seasonal patterns, and your Year in Review.

Nothing is ai-generated.

It’s all drawn from the readings you’ve recorded yourself.

Your practice stays yours. House of Obsidian simply helps you see more of it.

Then look up…

Tarot doesn’t exist in isolation.

House of Obsidian includes a full astrology suite, built to explore the relationship between your cards, your charts, and the sky above you.

Build your natal chart and explore houses, aspects, decans, transits, progressions, returns, synastry, and alternative chart techniques.

Open Celestial Mirror to explore the sky as it is right now — including planetary positions, aspects, retrogrades, stelliums, and the way today’s sky interacts with your chart.

And when something significant happens, House of Obsidian can offer you the chance to preserve that moment in your Grimoire.

Your readings. Your chart. The sky at the moment it all happened.

Your reference library, all in one place

Alongside your own practice, House of Obsidian brings together the reference material you reach for again and again.

Atlas gives you all 78 tarot cards, with meanings, correspondences, imagery notes, and your own history with each card.

Witch’s Cauldron brings together moon phases, the Wheel of the Year, planetary hours, spells, full moons, and correspondences.

Sparkles covers crystals, chakras, and herbs.

Deities explores gods and goddesses from historical pantheons and their connections with tarot.

And the Glossary gives you plain-English explanations whenever you come across something unfamiliar.

It’s there when you need it.

And quietly waiting when you don’t.

And if you read for other people…

House of Obsidian has a private Reading Room for professional readers, too.

Keep confidential records for up to 10 Querents, organise their readings, track scheduled sittings and follow-ups, and keep their history alongside your own practice.

Your Querents never need to log in.

Everything stays in your hands.

It was built from my own practice

I didn’t set out to build software. I started with a spreadsheet because I wanted to understand my own tarot practice better.

Then the spreadsheet became a workbook.

The workbook became increasingly ridiculous.

And eventually, somehow, it became House of Obsidian.

I built it because I wanted somewhere that would remember my practice without taking it over. That’s still what matters most to me. You don’t need to be an expert. You don’t need to know every correspondence or understand every astrological technique. You don’t need to have years of experience, either.

You just need to be curious about your cards.

Come inside

Your first three days are completely free, with full access to House of Obsidian.

Explore it at your own pace. Record some readings. Look around the Atlas. Build your chart. See what your own history begins to reveal.

There are no separate tiers hiding the interesting parts of the Sanctuary. Your membership gives you the whole thing.

No pressure to master everything at once. No need to know where your practice will take you.

Just somewhere to begin, somewhere to return to, and somewhere to keep everything you’ve discovered along the way.

The candles are lit.

The kettle’s on.

Whenever you’re ready, I’ll see you inside 🖤
