When I first saw a tarot video pop up on my newsfeed around a year ago (July 2025), I had no idea how it would change my life.
Having gone through the worst few years, I’d broken.
Therapy wasn’t working. The meds are…meh…and well, that’s all the help there is really, or so I thought.
While I watched the Witch discuss her cards, something resonated with me but I wasn’t sure what.
I soon discovered Cath Leask. A Psychic Medium & Tarot Healer from Canberra. Her method of introducing the Tarot as a ‘simple’ story to tell through the numbers, suits, and images rather than 78 individual cards to memorise. She literally changed my life with her Tarot in Tiny Teaspoons series and I thoroughly recommend you go follow her.
This isn’t really the place for my life story, but maybe I will share more one day.
As it is, I’m introducing House of Obsidian ~ The Arcane Sanctuary.
Once I realised the vast amount of additional information I needed to learn, I was instantly overwhelmed. Crystals and herbs and planets and houses and wheels and charts and…Well, you know most it. What I also found was a host of misinformation and a need for more books than my budget can spread to. I was making notes upon notes upon notes and then turned those notes into a nice spreadsheet where I was able to start recording the correspondences and fill it with information gathered for library books, and meeting with other readers and joining the TABI to train properly.
My spreadsheet grew and I realised there was more that it could do, and without giving away the trade secrets, HoO was born.
